We will also be having an open house the weekend of the bridal fair. So watch for more info on that or give us a call. ~Katie Good afternoon friends, It's been a great start to summer for all of us. We have seen some pretty fun weddings out here at Redbud Party Barn with great couples. It's so exciting to see how the new barn works and new ways to decorate it. We have been staying busy with our bridal parties, farmers markets, vintage market hunting, gardening, and time with family. This has forced us to share our favorite recipes with each other as well as new ideas. Jan and I have been brainstorming about something we are both passionate about, cooking and fresh ingredients. She has been inspired lately by trips to the farmers market and the anticipation of fresh herbs and veggies in her garden. This is a time of year we thrive. The weather is great, school is out (so no lesson planning and fewer shopping trips for me), and I generally feel refreshed and full of new ideas. This got me to talking with mom. What if we really did offer a fun cooking class? We both offer a wealth of knowledge in the culinary world. We both talk too much and we love to entertain. Friends and loved ones could come out and BYOB (bring your own beverage), eat, gab, learn something new and be entertained by the two of us. Doesn't that sound like fun? I know as a mom with young kids, I need a little get away and adult time. Uber even drops people off and picks up all the way out here. Keep your eyes peeled on our website and Facebook page for more info to come. We are getting really excited about this opportunity. Katie Welcome friends!
2018 has been an extremely busy year after the devastating fire (electrical) that took our original barn on New Year's Eve. I'd like to thank all of the amazing fire fighters (Douglass, Rose Hill, Derby, and Augusta) that braved the cold weather and courageously fought that incredible blaze. They reminded me how blessed we are to be able to use their services and lay our heads down at night. Jan and Gary began 2018 with many phone calls and finalizing plans for our new build with almost no turn around time. They wanted a new barn and pronto! Wedding season was not far away. With hard work and some amazing companies our new barn is done. It's huge! It's beautiful! You should come take a look. I miss the old one, but this is puts it to shame. Call and schedule an appointment to take a look at our new venue or wait for more details on our upcoming open house! We look forward to working with you and hope you love our new look as much as we do!
