“Farmers Market Finds”
​

The mother/daughter team of Jan Geringer, owner of Redbud Farms Catering and Redbud Party Barn and Katie Henning, family and consumer science teacher at West High, will showcase delicious items found at local farmers markets.  The evening will begin on the pavilion with appetizers featuring local cheeses, meats, honeys, and jellies while enjoying the beautiful gardens at Redbud. Next, guests will move inside the barn where Jan and Katie will begin their presentation which will include cooking demonstrations, recipes, entertaining tips, and a show of unique and fun items found on their summer market adventures.  A meal will be served by our Team Redbud ladies which will include panzanella salad, roasted rosemary and garlic potatoes, and grilled flank steak with chimmichurri.  The meal will end with a simple yet delicious peach cobbler with ice cream.  We encourage guests to BYOB.  A nice dry rose would be lovely with the appetizer course and an Argentinian Malbec would go well with the main course.
